Firstly, I'd like to say welcome to everybody reading this, whether its your first time on the site or you were here during the testing before it went live, you are very much appreciated for coming in and taking a look around. If you are one of the people that have navigated your way through the chaos of the internet and found yourself here for the first time, then take a couple of second to sign up and become a part of this exciting new community! There are updates rolling out frequently, with it fast becoming a great community to meet people and make some friends. It's been a big year for Peaked so far, with a number of incredible recruitment's joining the family, a total re-brand, merch, and now this website. Don't worry though, we aren't stopping there! As always, stay tuned for what else is coming
Since my last post which was originally written in February, we have had some changes to our SEA R6 team, and would like to welcome Zantus and Juns to the team. The boys have been competing hard in their tournaments, with a dominating record in a recent tournament in April that saw them take the championship and a tonne of other great placements in the last few months.
As I mentioned earlier in the post, there have been some incredible new additions to the team. During the month of March, we had one of our biggest recruitment grinds. The result of that was 7 new talented and hardworking members and from that the Peaked family would like to welcome Nollsy, Wolfy, TS7, Tedious, Cowwu and Merciless who are all a variety of pro players, streamers and content creators that we believe will continue to do amazing things under the Peaked name.
Let's talk about the re-brand. Even though Peaked is still young, we felt that to keep up with modern branding and marketing, it was best to look at doing a complete makeover. This organisation has been growing and expanding in terms of management, members and community over the last 6 months, so we felt excited about evolving the brand along with it. None of that would have been possible without our Lord and Saviour, Digitall who is an absolute workhorse and put in so many hours developing and designing all the new graphics that made the re-brand possible.
Behind the scenes, a website has been in the works for a little while, however, after a random meeting with an old friend things really kicked up a gear. And that is where we welcome Nanozke into the team as our Community Manager. Some of you might have seen him around in the discord and Twitter already, but expect to see a lot more of him as Nano will be working with the management team in assisting with website development, community events and game servers. With the help of Nano, what was once a standard website still in development, has now turned into a community based hub for gaming, media and esports. This also involves multiple CS:GO servers that are now up and running including Surf, KZ, TTT and Casual Competitive, all with their own stats and leaderboards which can be seen on the Stats page of this website.
I'd like to end on a quick note about the pandemic that's going on right now. We know how hard it's been with isolation, businesses and families struggling, and the impact that can have on mental and physical health. With recent easing of restrictions we can now start to see the light at the end of the tunnel, and to everybody in the gaming community, keep doing what you're doing and take care of yourselves and your loved ones, and we'll get through this together!
